My wish Shenzii Shiarashu Julia Nielson Merry Christmas 2006! Bound and Broken -Starfleet Uniform History- Decided one day to do the progress of Starfleet uniforms over the years. I am missing a few of the minor variations (ie: the collars in TNG), but I'm planning on doing those too. And hte mirror ones. Hee hee. Features my Federation Space RPG Character Ensign Julia Nielson. And yes, I even got her ranks and departement colours right ;] 2006|11|16 Department Heads Spy Andy -Command Crew- Captain Joseph Valiant and Commander Virginia Harrison-Black, wearing the command uniforms and command jackets. Their duty uniforms are different from regular personnel. Regular personnel have their departement colours on their shoulders and arms, the rest of the uniform is black. Command uniforms have grey shoulders, with dark red bodies, and black pants. They also get to wear those spiffy red command jackets: the Captain's shoulders are darker red than the First Officer's. Valiant and Black are from the Federation Space RPG that I play in. 2006|10|29 -The Mischievous one- My character, Ensign Julia Nielson, plotting something or other and just generally being mischievous. The ship she's posted on is being decommissioned, and the crew is moving to a Starbase. I've been teasing my CO that Julia is going to put a plant on the command deck, and he didn't believe me. We are sooo getting a plant. 2006|10|28 -The Engineer- Typically when I get artist's block, I usually end up drawing a myself in the uniform from Enterprise. It's really geeky, I know. But for whatever reason, it always helps and afterwards I'm flooded with ideas. (shrug) Don't knock it, it works 2006|10|24 -The Power of the Fangirl- A birthday gift for my friend Jeni. She loved Q from Star Trek and i love Malcolm Reed, so here we are glomping them. Ah the power of the fangirl 2006|09|25 -Yeager's Finest- A pic of the crew of the USS Yeager SC-8018, from the Federation Space RPG that I play in. Characters are broken up into division, which you can (sortof) see with the difference in colours. Security is orange, medical is teal, tactical is red, command is crimson, science is blue, engineering is yellow. Unforunately a few of these crew members are no longer with us, but from left to right are: Ens Micheal Hall, Lt[jg] Jen Matthews, LCdr Greygor, Ens Ebony Liora, LCdr Amalek Barrett, Captain Joseph Valiant, Commander Virginia Harrison-Black, LCdr Alexis Tregelen, Midshipman Jeni Pheonix Rose, Ens Julia Nielson (me!), and Lt Chris Stuart. It looks all streaky because my markers were dieing... boo...2006|09|15 Andrea and her laptop- I spend far too much time on my computer, it's like a body part LOL Done for a new layout at my domain and for a new devart id. 2006|09|13 Sailorsatsuma Astria -Destination Unknown- Just a random drawing of some person travelling somewhere. Inspired by the title of a novel I was reading at the time, Destination Unknown by Agatha Christie. Good book. First time using a cream colour marker in a while, so the shading of her face is... not... nice... 20066|08|15 -Rage- I was in a rotten mood, and started doodling. This turned out really cute, so I decided to colour it and finish it off. I like how it came out Left me in a really good mood afterwards as well, which is good. Hee hee. 2006|07|23 The Yeager's Newest Middies- A drawing of my character, Engineering Midshipman Julia Nielson, and my friend's character, Science Midshipman Jeni Phoenix Rose, from FedSpace. She introduced me to the awesome RPG, and we both ended up getting posted on the same ship, the USS Yeager!! The scan doesn't due the picture justice, as it's not nearly this light (oh well). And while I don't like how Julia came out, I really love the way Jeni's hair and face come out! 2006|06|14 -Burning Madala- I just had an itch one day to draw some Sailor Moon pictures, just because I can. This is Sailor Mars from Sailor Moon, if you couldn't tell. It was fun, so I may draw more in this series in the future. 2006|02|20 -The Theif- A painting of the theif that I've been drawing. I was a little iffy about colouring it because I always screw up when I do. The added thing is that I haven't used watercolours in a loooooong time either. Boo. Oh well. Here hair came out very nice at least 2006|01|24 Sunny palm -Card Captor Drea- Yes, it's very cheezie I know. This was meant to be a digigift at Hallowe'en. Unfortunately, I had a few papers or something due at the time, so i never got the chance to scan it in time. Sorry. And yes, it's supposed to be me as Card Captor Sakuran and Shadow as Kero. Silly, I know. I thought it would be funny. Har. 2005|10|19 Kiai Gishin and Warrior Ikusa sea of no cares -Lilli- Lilli from Zodiac PI. 08/03/2005 - 1/2 Hour -nightcrew- This is another character named Jules. She just popped back into my head again one day. And yes, she looks far to happy to have that gun... 08/02/2005 -Guck- I'm very poor at drawing animals, as you can see. But this didn't come out too horrible. I'd decided during the summer to go down to Derby Reach park and take my sketchbook with me. I also starting a drawing of the Fraser river (it only came out as a brown/beige/greenish stripe) and a contour of a bicycle (but I stopped before long, so it's not too hot). Anyway, back to the Guck. So there were a tonne of Canada Geese walking around and stuff, so I decided I might draw one. Alas it looks more like a Duck in body, due to the neck and legs being... not right for a goose. Thus the Guck was born. And might I saw, it's a damn good Guck. 2005|07|23 -Sailor Aries- A trade a did with a friend on DeviantArt. I drew her SailorAries otaku senshi and she drew Sailor Usta. Her half of the trade can be found on Astral Specter. 06/14/2005 Hyousetsuno Yasahii and Sailoraisu 20050705 Hogoshano Kachuu and Sailorkei 20050703 -trina and andrea- Trina and I were using MSN Whiteboard one night and this is what happened. It was so much fun. She wrote the lyrics, I did the drawings ^^. 06/08/2005 -Moon Power- I hadn't drawn a regular Sailor Moon picture in so long, so I did one. It was a lot of fun ^^. 05/27/2005 Raikou Karei and Sailorastria 20050530 -Happy Birthday- I drew this for the 2nd birthday design of my domain. 04/14/2005 -relax....- This is what I'd rather be doing instead of working on a term paper. So I drew myself relaxing. Oie. My first attempt at using layers in an oekaki. 04/06/2005 -Bowlers' Hat- This is just some little thing I did a while ago. It was cute, and I love bowler's hats. I've never actually seen one in real life though, only in photos and movies and such. Go figure. Oh well. ^-^ Love pop art. 2005|04|03 -Dreaming of Snow...- A picture I drew as a gift for my online friends for the holidays. I live on the westcoast and we hardly see any snow during winter. The only way to see it is if we drive up a mountain. So the rain falls some more. ^^. 01/01/2005 Astral Specter chapter 1 cover 20050101 -Tiki Torch- My first attempt at doing some tiki pop art. I love the stuff. It's really dark unfortunately, scanned even darked then it is too, and I don't think I matched the colours up all that great. But not bad for a start. Except maybe the background... 2004|12|29 -Ttea the Archer- This is a pic of my character Ttea from the online game Maple Story. I was obsessed with it for a while, but now I only play it sporadically. 12/06/2004 -hello sailor astria!- An oekaki I did on a friend's board to say hello. Of my otaku senshi sailor astria. 11/16/2004 -Andrea's Advice- One of my first attempts at colouring one of my pictures. I used MSPaint for this, and it came out pretty well for that program. Features a quote from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, my favorite novel. 11/10/2004 -First Attempt at Anthro- This was my first attempt at drawing anthro. It was a request taken on GaiaOnline, though it wasn't drawn of the avatar this time. 10/17/2004 -Silk Plant- A painting of a silk plant my mother has that used to be in our living room. Not sure where in the house it has migrated to, but it's around somewhere. The scan does do the colours any justice, but at least you can see I have (or rather used to have) the ability to do watercolours. XD Although I think my lighting in it is a bit off. 2004|10|16 Gaia commission 20040726 -I'm a Believer- Another avatar request from GaiaOnline. 07/25/2004 -Gzifa- This commission on gaiaonline came out really well ^^. 07/19/2004 -ActressTrina- A request for a signature pic for my friend. I'm thinking I should ink this one day. But I always ruin things when I ink them T_T. 05/24/2004 Astral Senshi 2004|05|23 -chibi andee- Do I really need to say anything about this??? -eat your brains- A gift to my friend Ali, which had been sparked from a conversation on msn. -give her nereid!- A gift for my friend Alex after she tried to register nereid.org. It wasn't in use, but wouldn't let her take it. She ended up using nereide.org. The hands look great, even though they're backwards... -Polar Opposites- A drawing I did for my Art12Advanced class. Just a simple sketch done in oil pastels, but it still came out really nice. 11/2003 -NightCrew- Characters for a story I was going to write. It's still sitting in the back of my mind, but doesn't have top priority at the moment. So maybe these two will make a reappearance eventually. 10/2003 -Andrea- This is a cartoon version of myself that I used for the first design of my domain. 2003. -Artimas- This was a request I drew of a character in their civis. I lost the rest of the info, except the name. The character's name is Artimas though. 2003 -Sailor Caloris- I did a website design request for one of my friends. Being an otaku senshi website, I drew this for the design. 2003. Another request that I did from the 1-800 boards. But this isn't of a senshi, it's of a demon huntress I believe. Don't remember the character's name however. 2003. And old drawing of Sailorastria, Raikou Karei and Astria. 2002|12|30 -Sailor Dragoness- Request I did for someone on the 1-800-OtakuSenshi boards I think. 2002 -Isis- Drew this for the manga Avatar, though I'm not sure or not if the manga still exists. Chainmale is a pain to draw. 2002. -Roses- Drawn in my sketchbook for my Art10 class. I'd gotten two really pretty crimson roses from one of my friends, so I decided to draw them. I used Prismacolour pencil crayons. 05/10/2002 -Ribbon Fighter Life- I drew this for a calender I made for myself. It's of someone's original character, but there wasn't ever a fiction based on this. I liked the design, so I drew her. Sporadically I make calenders like this. 09/19/2001 -Sailor Lumina- A drawing of my friend's otaku senshi. She had plans to do a fic with her, but never did. 2001 -Sailor Zircon- This was a fandrawing for one of my favorite otaku senshi fics. Unforutnately the creator shut down the site, and I don't remember the URL of her new site. 2001. This was a request I did for someone of their otaku senshi, which unfortunately I don't remember the name of the senshi. 2000. -Sailor Moon- I drew this for my first collective, SailorPikachu.net with the intention of using it in a design, which I never did. 2000. -why?- This oekaki is very angst filled. Why? I don't even remember anymore.... :P -Sailor Fire- Design for my first attempt at starting a Sailor Moon RPG. This character may reappear recycled in another otaku senshi fiction I may write ^^. 2000. -Kira- A character I was playing around with for a story. This isn't my first oekaki, but the first one I saved. Kira might make it into a story again someday -Sailor Art- My entry into a contest for a Sailor Moon art webring. Unfortunately, the webring closed before the contest ever finished, so who knows who won. 2000
